Award Winning Small Business Website Design

The Battleship North Carolina is a national landmark located in Wilmington, North Carolina and is a famous World War II memorial floating on the water. They approached Wide Open Tech in desperate need of a redesigning a more modern website that also provides the 1950s-60s look, which is the time period the Battleship NC became a memorial. Our team leveraged a color scheme variance that is a close tie-in to the nautical flags worn by the ship. We used wavy shapes and sunshine graphics that nod to the water and beautiful sunrises and sunsets that are often the backdrop of this memorial. The site leverages classic icons from the 1950s-60s timeframe to give this feeling of history, and we use extensive image galleries that provide a look inside the museum.
